Summer Schools
& Arts Awards
Due to the impact of Covid 19, opportunities for children and young people to participate in the arts have been severely restricted for some time now and we would like to support our local schools in any way we can to redress the balance. Our community of professional designers, makers, choreographers, musicians and performers are keen to support the efforts of schools in bringing out the best in our young people.
As a registered Arts Award Centre Imaginarium deliver high quality qualifications as part of our ongoing work in schools and within our own Children and Young People's programmes. These recognised qualifications help young people to build and develop social and academic skills; whilst also having fun and building their confidence.
For schools looking to offer summer activities to their pupils, Imaginarium can provide a series of either full day or half-day sessions leading to:
-
Arts Award Discover – an introductory award for Age 5+, suitable for KS 1 or 2 - in three full or six half-day workshops.
-
Arts Award Explore – an entry Level 3 Qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework: suitable for KS2 or 3 - in 4 full or 8 half-day workshops.
-
Arts Award Bronze – a Level 1 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework; suitable for KS3 - in 5 full or 10 half-day workshops.
Arts Award activities can encompass Design and Making, Puppetry, Drama, Dance and Music according to the interests and needs of your pupils. Imaginarium can also offer Play-In–A-Day workshops, after school clubs, or bespoke programmes of activities for half or full day sessions in a range of arts activities.
NB: All sessions will be held in line with current Covid- 19 legislation and within the particular safeguarding structure of the individual school.
